The recent President of Nickelodeon Production and Development, Russel’s unmatched background in every aspect of the children’s entertainment industry has given rise to iconic characters like Teddy Ruxpin, Henry Danger, and The Loud House, and breathing life back into forgotten properties like Scooby Doo.
As CCO, Russell leads Curiosity by tapping into his personal blend of energy, business strategy expertise, and optimism to drive the creation of original titles as well as revitalize beloved existing properties.
Richard Yanofsky is co-founder of WowWee, a leading consumer entertainment robotics and tech toy companies, along with his brother Peter. He holds a Bachelors degree in Industrial Relations and Economics and a Post Graduate degree in Business Management Studies from McGill University in Montreal. Mr. Yanofsky's wide range of skills and experience in the consumer retail marketplace provides WowWee important guidance in building distribution and of its global retail brands. His two sons, Michael and Andrew hold key roles at the company, and his daughter Nikki is a pop-jazz vocalist who records and performs around the world. He resides in Montreal with his wife Elisa.
Curiosity Ink collaboratively merges Mr. Hicks’ expertise in franchise-planning and creative talent development with the renowned brand-building prowess of Brent Watts.
Watts’ agency, Struck, has developed many of the most recognizable franchises in family entertainment over the past 20 plus years: The SpongeBob and Dora franchises from Nickelodeon, the Dr. Seuss franchise, Shrek and Kung Fu Panda of DreamWorks Animation, and the Spider-Man franchise of Sony Pictures. These highly successful ventures have all been a part of Watts’ creative mind.
His imagination pushes limits with new interpretations of familiar children’s brands. His ultimate goal is to fill the world with the kinds of stories and characters that make children curious. Hicks and Watts complement each other having worked together for almost 25 years. They both have a passion for character-driven storytelling, groundbreaking aesthetics, and youth entertainment.
Leading Curiosity Ink Media’s new publishing division, Curiosity Books, is industry veteran Jon I. Rosenberg. Jon is a highly accomplished and creative global business development executive specializing in originating content and extending existing content-related brands across a range of media and merchandise in the publishing, brand-licensing, and entertainment sectors. Jon’s experience spans twenty-five years where he has fostered alliances with leading authors, illustrators, designers, and branded properties—including Disney, Nickelodeon, Warner Bros., MGM, Mattel, Hasbro, and Crayola.
As the former VP and Publisher of Silver Dolphin Books, Jon spearheaded their juvenile proprietary and global publishing business—deploying strategies across all publishing segments (licensing, sales, marketing, printed books, interactive books plus, and e-books) while laying down new creative processes for building a mix of originated content and procuring strategic licenses. Prior to that, he headed up MGM Studio’s Licensed Publishing Group as Executive Director of Worldwide Publishing & Stationery where he developed strategic creative initiatives for licensed publishing opportunities for the studio’s 4,200 film library. Jon received his Bachelor of Arts from California State University, Northridge.
Originally a children's author, screenwriter, and product developer, Matt launched the small press publishing company, The WilderWay LLC in Chicago, where he developed a slate of multiple children's books.
At Curiosity Ink Media, he heads up the development of both existing and original IP, as well as co-produces Curiosity's feature films and television series. Taking stories from initial conception through to release, Matt focuses on franchise-able and character-driven properties with wide appeal.
